I don't know why I didn't take any pictures in January. Oh yeah. I know why. I hate January. I am sure we did some fun stuff, however, so I kind of feel bad that I ignored a month and let it pass by unrecorded.

Here are some pics of February. I like February a lot better! Mollie had a "Royal Ball" on Valentine's Day at her preschool. She got to dress up like a princess and dad bought her a rose. Funny thing about Mollie, she has never really perfected her smile for pictures. Some kids can turn on the most charming face as soon as you say "say cheese." But Mollie just comes up with all sorts of facial contortions. It's sad, because she has the sweetest natural smile and it's rarely been captured! Oh well, maybe it's the faulty photographer? Anyway, this is the best we've got on her way to the Royal Ball. The first pic is her "princess face," and the second is her "demure princess" look. The third is with her friend Maurea and it's definitely an improvement. LOVE the chubby chin.

We took a rare chance to be outside last week and go to Wheeler Farm with some friends and moms in the neighborhood. It was so nice to be out! Everything went without a hitch until I got talking too much and missed the part when Mollie started dipping her coat in the river and wanted to know what the "cute little animal" next to her was. Mollie sweetie, that would be a rat. Time to get the blazes home! I didn't take a picture of that. I have never seen a rat in person and now it's burned on my eyeballs. Ew.

Today's post is brought to you by these two lovely ladies who are currently tearing my house apart and having the time of their lives. It's totally worth every mess because I've read my scriptures, caught up on email, washed dishes and even put some shoes on (I am 9 1/2 months pregnant, so that is a least a 10 minute ordeal). Gotta love a good play date! Thanks for coming over, Quinn!

(Note Mollie's smile. Almost there!)
